Wheat plant affected by excess soil moisture
Near research field some wheat plants of border area showed yellowing symptom. Dr. Mian visited and observed the crop condition. He identified that continuous excess moisture in the root zone for long duration in early growth stage affected the crop and caused yellowing. This was happened near the crop of irrigation channel. The leaching water resulted in excesses moisture in the root zone of wheat. The root respiration is hampered due to excess moisture.
